Overview

As a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Veteran Partnering hospital, you have immediate access to our care without the need for prior approval in a majority of cases. We also provide help and support through our Veteran Liaison Officer.

Any member of the community can access Armidale Private Hospital, including privately insured, non insured, DVA and workers compensation patients. This may be arranged with your doctor.

Although we do not have an Accident and Emergency Department, you may be admitted to the Private Hospital after being assessed in the Public Hospital. Ask your doctor if you wish to transfer.

Once you have been referred by your doctor for admission to Armidale Private Hospital, please contact our booking staff either by telephoning 02 67714000 or personally. Our office hours are between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

The following information will assist us with your booking:

• Medicare card
• Veterans’ Affairs card
• Private Health Insurance details
• Work Cover approval/claim number if applicable
• Information provided by your doctor
