Armidale Private Hospital provides a variety of services for the comfort and convenience of patients and their visitors.
Hairdressers
Please consult the nursing staff in your Ward, who will be able to make an appointment for your hairdresser to visit you.
Ministers of religion
Your spiritual needs may be catered for by pastoral care visitors who attend the Hospital on a regular basis. Your own clergy person is very welcome – please ask the nursing staff to arrange a visit.
Mobile Phones
When you are admitted please ask our staff if mobiles can be used in your room. Mobiles may be used in all public areas. Armidale Private Hospital does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your mobile phone.
Newspapers
Complimentary state and local newspapers are available on request.
Noise
Unnecessary noise can be disturbing. We will appreciate the co-operation of patients and visitors in keeping noise to a minimum.
Nurse call system
Should you require anything at anytime, please do not hesitate to call the nursing staff via the nurse call button located in the bedside handset. Our staff will endeavour to answer the call as quickly as possible.
Patient feedback
Patient feedback is appreciated, as it assists us to make ongoing improvements to our services and facilities. Please feel free to provide feedback either through the formal Patient Satisfaction Survey or by writing to the CEO of the Hospital.
Preferred accommodation
Whilst every effort is made to facilitate your accommodation requests, we cannot always guarantee availability on your day of admission.
Queries about your care
A copy of the brochure ‘Patients’ rights and responsibilities’ is available in your room compendium.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted within the Hospital.
Telephones
You can make and receive telephone calls from your bed. Local calls are free of charge.
Television
A single handset by your bed allows you to select any of the local television stations.
